How much $ for a Pastel Male?

I am planning on going to the New York Expo with my family, and we are going to pick out and buy our first BP.

I am interested in a Pastel Male BP, but my family may not like them.

Anyway, I would like to know about how much money I should set aside for the purchase of a Pastel.

This way if we see one we like I will be able to afford it.

    Thanks, Akiva.

I'd bring along $500. You might be able to get one for as low as $200, but you usually get what you pay for with Balls. I'd recommend that you get the best looking one that you can afford.

At a show you can get Pastel males from $250-$800. Be advised that there are some ugly Pastels out there. Buy from a quality breeder and you'll get what you expect. An awesome snake and customer service down the line after you have purchased. Try finding Joe Bob again after the show....

    Good luck!

PS I think Vaughn (kavmon) might have some nice males still left.

As stated above, there are a lot of dirty, ugly pastels.... so don't let price be your guide. Buying froim a breeder is a good idea. It doesn't have to be a big name, give the up and comer a chance too. Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions.... often you can tell when someone is honest, knows their animals or is bsing you!

    Good luck!

Look for ones with little to no orange wash on the sides. That turns brown as they age.

Expect to spend roughly $400-$500 for a really nice pastel but it will be worth it when it doesn't brown out with age.
