what has the time frame been as far as how long he was blue and how long hes been clear? what they'll do is go blue for about 3-4 days, then go clear for another 2-3 and shed.

does his skin look like he's trapped in it? like really wrinkly and kinda white?

Yup. Completely normal. The eyes will clear up, and about 48 hours (give or take) after that you'll have a shed. You can't miss it.

My guy had this happen a few days ago. I let him soak in some warm water for about 30 minutes. I put him back in his tank and about an hour later I took a peek in and he was shedding in his hide.

Don't worry. They all shed on different schedules, but it'll happen.

    Re: aborted shed?

Our ball python blue-eyed and looked like she was going shed, but then never did either once...she then shed normally the next month.

Don't worry about it - the snake will shed when s/he's ready. =)
