OK, Moved and setup the rest of the watering systems, in the garage

Moved stuff out to the garage. A lot more space than the basement, and the garage is insulated. Winterproofing will be interesting, but at least I have a big gas furnace out there. All of the racks were designed with the basement in mind, (also the water was hanging from the ceiling previously) so it a bit tall.

    etc, bla bla bla

Wow; how did you build that watering system? It must make things so much easier.. Nice setup you have there. Good move too; more space = more potential for more animals, hehe.

I used parts from a shop a few hours from me called Kluberantz, each valve/sipper was $1.91 but counting tubing and reservoir valve it ended up being like $2.50-$3 per tub to water them.... comparable cost to bottles and way easier...

I need to add another "blue" rack, and 2 more growouts, but I might just build 4 new growouts instead (7 tubs each) and use them for excess growout and maternity rack, but everytime I mention MORE rats, my wifes eyes glaze over.

I need to build a mouse rack too, though im kinda dreading it

    Tell U what, Bryan....

When wifey's eyes glaze over, just start sending the little furries to me! and I'll be mooooooore than happy to take care of them for you.

But that's a really cool setup you've got going for your ratty ranching.

What size are the "blue" tubs and what are they used for?

They look like they are used for rats.

That's what I was thinking, but was wondering how big they are?

    18 liter iris tubs

Used for 1 mom and her babies.... if she has a big litter it gets cramped around week 3-4 so i sometimes will move groups of mothers into bigger tubs to share nursing duties.
