Multiple Balls in one tank
I have a female ball python, 1 year old. I am planning on buying a 95 gallon tank and want to buy a male as well. Is there anything I should be warned about before doing this?
Should the male be a certain size...? New Herper look'n for good advise.

Welcome to BPnet!
As to your question - are you refering to buying another python or the implied housing them together?
Don't house them together - it's bad news waiting to happen. You can introduce them seasonally for breeding if that is your goal but they should be seperated after that. You might run into some problems with such a huge tank as well interms of security and maintaining humidity and a thermal gradient.
Also new acquistions should go through a period of quarantine before coming anywhere near the rest of your herps whether you have only one or hundreds.

Welcome to the sight. Glad to see you chose us.
As Daniel said one per tank/tub. The two will compete for food water the best hides and temp spots. For the well being of both snakes just get two proper sized tanks and house them apart.

Welcome, they should only be together for breeding purposes. Simple as that!

You left out that "for breeding purposes" means they are even then only together for short periods of time, then seperated again.

Oh but of course!

Someone could assume that if they wanted them to breed, it'd be ok to house them together permanently. Didn't want to leave any ambiguity there....

Nope, I understand that!
