    Enclosure size

Ive read many threads on this, but what is the idea enclosure? I have a bp about a year and a half old. I have her in a 20L fish tank, but shes growing pretty well. I was thinking of either building or buying. would a 40 gallon be enough or should i just spend the money on a 55? If i do buy one would a uth be enough for warming or should i invest in a ceramic bulb also? I use a uvb bulb and 2uths right now and it seems to do the job fine. thank you

if you build your own, with wood. i'd do several coats of a water based sealant/urethane. look into radiant heat panels to provide the heat. imo, use a good thermostat with any heat source it will help you and your snake.

    Re: Enclosure size

Yeah i was thinking of putting that stuff you use for bathrooms on the inside of the walls. i might try to get a darker color. Those panals sit under enclosure or on top. Im thinking maybe 4 ft by 2ft or so bc i want to get a red-tail as well. What would you suggest as to size of panels they said they have hundreds of sizes. Thanks for your advise and the links.

    Re: Enclosure size

i would contact bob at pro products and describe the setup to him. he can hook you up with the right panel. the panels mount on the inside of the cage up top. they are safe for reptiles and have been used for years.
