The stand has fold down doors and shelves for storage. You can place your treats, food, etc, conveniently in the stand until needed. In addition, the stand is molded so the cage fits snug. No worries of it falling over if you bump it. The cage itself also has a bracket on the top to hang it if you prefer to suspend the cage rather than use the stand.
There is a locking slide out tray on the bottom to make cleaning a snap. And the doors (there are ones on 3 sides) have locks to hold them closed.
This cage also has plastic "barriers" in front of the bowls and bird bath to prevent a mess on the floor from seeds. I can vouch that it works great. No seeds got on my floor.
