New BP Aggression Question
I have a 100% het albino male bp (2005) which arrived a few days ago. I'm currently reading Kevin McCurley's new book on BP but was curious if anyone had a good estimated time the little guy could be held. I tried today (two days after his arrival) and he struck at me pretty good....The breeder said he was had a good attitude and I'm confident in his assessment but curious when to expect this semi-aggression to die down.... if at all...
Thanks a lot.... it's good to start getting into the BALL PYTHON world :-)

Re: New BP
hard to say, some bp's are nippy, some aren't? like people some are friendly some aren't. i would concentrate on proper setup and get him feeding steady. after he is eating steady start handling and go from there. alot of babies are nippy most of them grow out of it.

Re: New BP
I could be wrong but, from what I read on these forums and in books you should let the snake settle in for two weeks before handeling. Also, like kavmon said get a few meals in him too. He's probably just stressed and saying "leave me alone" it's been a rough few days for the lil' guy/girl.

Re: New BP
I would def. let your new snake settle into its new home for a few weeks, minimum, before feeding. Then once it is feeding on a regular schedule, you can begin handling! It is worth the wait to have a nice well adjusted snakey.
