Tempeture in tank High on cool side

My Bp Naga is a 20 long tank. my Uth and light is on a thermistat and of late both have stayed off during the day do to the heat.

Tha temps are reading 97 warm 95 cool and i cant come up with any way to lower the temps on the cool side durrung the day. The tank is in the coolest room and the air conditioner is on also the room is not what i would say uncomfortable to me at least so im guessing its now 90 degrees lol.

anyone have any idea on how i can cool the cool side some?

Cool the entire room, is the only way to do it. Or, move the whole tank to a cooler room.

Your AC is on? Sounds like you need a new air conditioner if your room is 90 with it on.

Fans are a good way to keep air moving and cool things off.

the room tempeture is not 90 only the tank, Im using a acurite digital thermometer to mesure the temps in the tank, and yes the air conditioner is on, and that is the coolest room, its not overly hot in there but the tank is,

its a 20 gallon long and it has a screen top.

Just turn the heat source off until the ambient temperatures go back down to normal.

They are off its on a thermostat that is set to keep temps at 92 on the warm side and anyhow I turned the thermistat off I dont understand why its so warm.

the only thing i found that works was removing naga and misting the screen top and puting a fan on it blowing in the viv but its very temprory maybe an hour and its back to being HOT I hate summer if i could i would live in ALASKA but im sure naga wouldnt Apreciate that lol

Don't move to Alaska. They have cold summers, I just came from there. Nice for me, not for heat thriving snakes.

Just put a small fan positioned to give it some air cirulation, then turn the thermostat back on. Try to work the temps. Just remember to turn the fan off at night.

I have a fan and it doesnt seem to cool the air just move the hot air around, i tried turning it around to blow hot air out nothing, im tryng anything i can think of short of building my own little water cooling pad, which I might eventully try.

I froze some water in some bottles and placed them in the tank with the fan blowing on them it brought the temp down but only a few degrees.

anyhow Im thinking about making a water cooling system that would be like a Water CPU cooling system and puting it on a thermistat but that would take awhile to build. summer would be over by then lol

Are you sure your thermometers are working properly? And is the cage near a window where it is catching sunlight at some point during the day?

Re: Tempeture in tank High on cool side

Doesnt sound thats its a equipment malfunction to me. same thing happened to me, but all i had to do was move the tank to a room where it was cooler. I was getting readings of 90deg both sides cool/warm. It was praobly because of the room temperature beign at that level. Well the heating devises stay off most of the time due to that as well. After moving it to room where it was cooled by a/c the tempertures returned to normal. Maybe my experince with it might help.
