Re: Reptile Shows
you can always check our calendar for shows and other events: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/calendar.php?
also, this is from an e-mail from the people that run the southeastern shows that you linked to--just to give you a little more info about what's going on with those shows.
It is with great excitement that we announce Repticon's
acquisition of Southeastern Shows, including the Florida International
Reptile Show, the Atlanta Reptile & Exotic Animal Show, and the South
Carolina Reptile & Exotic Animal Show. Over the past 3 years the
Repticon team has produced over 50 reptile shows throughout the
South-East, and we look forward to merging our unique family-friendly
atmosphere with the rich heritage of the shows that Tony Cueto and his
team have worked to build throughout the past decade.
The Repticon team is also thrilled to announce the acquisition of
the Southern Exotics and Reptile Convention (SERC) operated by the
Elrod family in South Carolina. Over the past year and a half the
Elrods have built a reputation for fantastic vendor service and have
put together shows with outstanding vendor lists throughout South
Carolina. We are very excited to welcome the Elrods and the entire SERC
family to the Repticon team, and we will be working closely with them
to produce first-class shows in South Carolina. The consolidation of
the SERC shows and the South Carolina Reptile & Exotic Animal Show will
help reduce duplication of shows in South Carolina, leading to higher
quality shows for vendors and guests alike.
2006/2007 Show Updates
We are pleased to announce that the first Southeastern Show to be
rescheduled by the Repticon team is the South Carolina Reptile and
Exotic Animal Show. This show, celebrating its eighth year, returns to
its original home at the Jamil Temple in Columbia, SC. For more details
on this show, see the section below.
In other news, we are excited to announce the Southeastern Shows
series' return to North Carolina with the all new North Carolina
International Reptile Show set to debut in Charlotte, NC in July of
2007.
We are also in the final stages of selecting venues for the Atlanta
Reptile and Exotic Animal Show as well as a venue for the Florida
International Reptile Show that will return the show to the Tampa Bay
area. 2007 Dates for both shows should be finalized within the next two
months.
The Tradition Returns to Columbia!
For over seven years the South Carolina Reptile & Exotic Animal Show
thrived at the Jamil Temple in Columbia, South Carolina, establishing a
reputation as the top venomous show in the Southeast. In 2005, the show
was relocated to Greenville SC, then to Anderson SC in 2006. While each
of these shows offered something new to their respective communities,
neither of them re- captured the magic of the original Columbia shows.
The Repticon team is proud to bring the focus of the South Carolina
Reptile & Exotic Animal Show back to its roots in Columbia. Our team's
focus in South Carolina in 2006 will be to re-build the Columbia show
into a truly special reptile event that vendors and attendees can look
forward to and enjoy consistently twice a year.
The response to our recently announced South Carolina show in Columbia
has been overwhelmingly positive, with many vendors committing to the
show even though it's still four months away. We are thrilled to
announce the return of Animal Planet's Roark Ferguson to the Columbia
stage. We would also like to welcome our newest sponsor, Once Bitten
Exotics, who will be the tote-bag sponsor for the show, providing tote
bags for our VIPs and for the first 100 guests through the door.
Please visit the show website using the link below for more
information on the Columbia show.
