*Putting ur Ball Python Outside*
is it bad to have ur ball outside, like just letting it roam on the grass in ur front yard or something???
I've never taken mine outside but i was just wondering if it would be a bad idea or not...

I don't think it's a bad idea just make sure there are no other animal's around that can hurt your Bp. And alway's keep an eye on um.

I used to take Spoon outside for short periods to do photos. I never had a problem personally, but I would just make sure you stay close and keep an eye on him. I would also not recommend keeping him out there for more than 5-10 minutes. He could get mites or ticks, or get overheated by the sun. Another big thing I'd probably consider is his personality...is he easily stressed or jumpy? If so, a trip outside may not be the best idea. Spoon is an older, calm, and trusting snake, so he never had a problem. He used to sit up and watch stuff.
Animals are my passion and my life.
Never, ever underestimate the vital importance of strict and proper quarantine. There is no such thing as being too careful. One mistake can cost a world of damage, and regret that lasts a lifetime.

I think if you don't leave him out there for more than 5 minutes or so, he should be OK. It's still a risk, but up to you.

I take Ophelia outside whenever I get the chance. She seems to "enjoy" the outtings we have. My only suggestion to you would be just to check your kids over before you bring them in the house. I usually give her a bath afterward just incase there's anything on the grass that might be absorbed. O_o That, and she loves being in the tub, or so it seems.

And don't take your eyes off them! I stopped watching one of mine to pull a couple weeds, and he was well away and VERY well camoflaged. I found him after a good 10 minutes of searching, and I am sure he would not have "gotten away" because of the location I was in. But still, it only takes one minute for the lethargic, lazy ball of snake to dart(well, okay slither quickly) off into a different area to hide.

Re: *Putting ur Ball Python Outside*
Just make sure your lawn isn't sprayed with anything. I am now avoiding taking my snakes outside on the grass, as they have spread liquid manure around the fields outside to fertilize. (luckily the smell has faded away some; I always laugh when I see air fresheners that say "Country Fresh", Lol.)

I was planning on doing the same when mine gets bigger. Maybe during the fall when it isn't so blazing hot (SoCal heat, woooo. *disgusted* )
