    Just missed getting tagged!

Went to take Austin out to hold him for a little bit tonight since he had his head sticking out of his ceramic flower pot dish hide. He saw me coming and pulled his head back in, so I started lifting the dish and whack! he struck out at me, fortunately hitting the side of the dish and missing my hand. This is the first time he has ever done that, I don't know if he just wasn't in the mood to be bothered or what. I know I didn't startle him because he saw me coming and he's not in shed and his last feeding was on Sunday. Maybe the recent thunderstorms have stressed him out. Anyone else have this happen out of the blue.

    Re: Just missed getting tagged!

You know I wonder about that. We're having major t-storms here since yesterday on and off. My snakes all refused a feed last night (and that's never happened before) and one of my females who has never once hissed in almost a year of having her....hissed so much I nearly jumped a mile high. I think had I pushed it she'd have nailed me but I just quickly changed her newspaper bedding and backed off.

Wonder if it is the weather?

    Tell me about it. *sigh*

My ball has struck me once. I guess I startled it and he thought I was food. I think he just gets too excited.

    Re: Just missed getting tagged!

Whenever we have really good t-storms for a couple days all my snakes go crazy, and it happened to my moms as far back as she can remember to. Just wait till there over and give hima few days to get over it. I think it may have something to do with sudden pressure changes and air changes.
Nobody has figured out the meanig of life, yet almost everyone knows how to make pudding... I don't get it.
