Question ID cards/holders & Feeding Charts

What do must of you use for ID cards (and holders for them) as well as for feeding charts?

I like the ones I see Gerry (Sssscales) uses in the thread below...
    http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=29691

Where do you get these Gerry? and is there a feeding chart on them (maybe on the back of the card? How are they attached to the Boaphile enclosures?

I am getting to the point in my collection that I need a better way to ID my snakes, and document feedings, maybe sheds, breedings etc.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Mine is pretty basic and simple. Each tub has a tag with a number. Then I have a binder with a spread sheet that corresponds with the numbers. I record feeding, shedding, breeding, laying and weights.

i use regular 3x5 index cards. binder clips to hold them to the racks. on some racks i also use a 4x6 plastic sleeve and double side tape it the rack wall and slide index cards in those.

Re: ID cards/holders & Feeding Charts

I tried the index cards for a few weeks but I am a non paper kind of guy. Even at work, I scan everything into digital format and throw away the paper. So I am back with my Degei software and thrilled. I am just printing out the feeding list weekly, offering food and writing down the results and then going back and entering the info in the software.

I believe Degei is working on a barcode system.

Now that is some fine news! Get a cheap barcode scanner and you are good to go!

EDIT: Wow! $750 for the pro version that has barcode scanning capability. That is a steep upgrade from the $20 version.

Wow. I guess I never looked at the prices. I guess you know what to buy if you need an extra tax deduction.

Here is a pic of one of the labels I use on my tubs. It is generated from the Degei program.
