    Question Determining Mice Age

Is it possible to determine the age of a mouse based on its size or any other way? I bought a couple of females froma pet shop and they werent able to tell me there age...the seem at least 3-4 months to me based on their size but im not sure. Any suggestions? Are males smaller than females? i asked for an afdul male and he was 1/2 the females size.

Not sure. Mice are nasty so I think the only good mouse is a dead mouse. The only way I would think would be to look at rodent pros mouse weights and compare their weights to that and get a basic idea.

    Re: Determining Mice Age

If the males and females are the same age the males will be bigger.

Weight is really the only way to determine age. Under 19 grams and they are under 6 weeks (usually) over 35 grams and they are over 6 months. Once they get over 1.5 years you will notice they are starting to go blind.
