Ratios are in on Albino and Spider clutches

Well, I could not be more pleased with the results of my Spider clutch. 2.2 Spiders and 1.2 Normals. To top it all off, one of the female Spiders is a ringer. The results are also in on the Albino clutch. As if it wasn't bad enough that we lost one egg in this clutch, the Albino hatched deforemd, the ratio on the healthy Het. Albinos is 5.0. I guess this whole clutch was doomed. Better luck next year. Pics coming soon.

Re: Ratios are in on Albino and Spider clutches

Geesh Tim that does suck with the loss of the albino and the hets coming up all males but there's always something to be said for a nice captive born het albino male. I know Mike and I couldn't be more pleased with the one we purchased from Adam last year so I'm sure you'll find great buyers for those 5 gorgeous little males you produced.

What a great spider clutch you got though! Lots of spiders and a really nice ratio!

Seems like in BP breeding it's all about facing the ups and downs and riding out those waves over the long term isn't it.

Congrats on the spider clutch Tim! Don't fret the odds, they'll even out with a larger sample size (clutches 3-10 ) now let's see some pics of those spidies!!!

Can't wait to see the new pics, Tim! Especially the ringer! Congrats on that great ratio. And I'm terribly sorry about the poor little albino baby.

    Pics are in!

Here are the pics of the Spider clutch.

    The males from the clutch.

The females from the clutch. It's kind of hard to see, but if you look at the Spider on the right, near her tail is the bright orange ringer spot.

    All 5 Het. Albino males.

What a beautiful buncha babies! Of course the spiders are smokin'...but even the "normal" ones are hot! Look at the banding and funky patterns....just beautiful!

And the het-albinos got some lookers, too. I don't think you'll have any trouble finding excellent homes for all those babies.
