    Hides

just thought i would share this with you guys....since i'm in college i try to find things around the house that i could use in the babys' tanks ... soooo i've been using those uncle ben's rice bowls as my hides... they are easy to replace... not to mention they come with some pretty tasty food that you can enjoy. ... anyway... just an idea for you guys (although i'm sure someone else has thought of this before )...

I always look at anything now with the idea that it might have hide potential ... you should see the looks I get at work when I see a cardboard box and squeal "oooh - that would make a nice hide"

Excellent idea! I love dual purpose stuff! I actually bought teeny tiny flavored creme cheese JUST to get the containers for a baby milksnake's hides LOL. My kids were like...WOW you'd never buy that expensive stuff for us! (with a bigger family they know bulk is the only way I roll LOL)

I don't have any balls but for my boas, heres what I use
I just use rubbermaid shoe boxes with a whole melted in the side for my big girl. I have the blue tinted ones and its my favorite. You can see if the snakes in it so you don't tear the cage apart looking for your snake.
For my smaller boa I just use toilet paper rolls. I've heard of many ball breeders using these. Hope this helps!

Too many boas to list and a few balls as well
