Flex watt and reflectics insulation Question

OK , I am doing a modified iris rack... what i want to do is instead of putting the flex watt right on the plywood backer, I was thinking about putting down reflectics insulation on the ply wood then attach the flxwatt strip over the reflectics to help flect the heat up insteaed of it being absorbed into the ply wood backer.

the package said it is rated at 180 degrees F during direct contact

what do you guys think.. anyone attach flexwatt right to this stuff

You should be fine, flexwatt can reach 130 degrees (well under 180). Plus if you are using a proportional thermostat it will cut down your electric bill by directing the heat.

great bill, i figured it would do ok with it. I was unsure how hot the flex watt got.

Yes you can put flexwatt directly on reflectix as long as you are using a thermostat
