    Exclamation Going Blue?

The last few days Sebastian has been very annoyed and has been going out of his way striking at me. I thought it may just be stress from switching to his new tub. Then I thought maybe he is getting ready to shed since he is being moody and anti socal.

So I've left him alone for the past three days. He has not really moved, so I got scared and took a peek to see if he was still alive. He is, but he looks dual.

So is he going blue?? I think he may be?!
His humidity has been 60-70%. Should I put some moist peat moss in there with him just in case ... since he isn't coming out of his warm sides hide - out of under his newspaper? I just want to make sure I'm doing everything that I can so he has a good shed.

It's difficult to tell. The body looks a bit grayish, but a picture of the eyes would be helpful. Is the belly pinkish?

If you upped the humidity you should be fine.

Sounds like he just needs to relax

Doesn't look like he's going into shed to me, but you never know. I'm sure he'll come around. Maybe he just needs a good holding to come out of his funk and stop being so annoyed.

His belly isn't pink - but just now when I took a look at him - his eyes ARE blue!

If the eye are blue, then you should expect a shed about 48 hours after they clear back up!

    Re: Going Blue?

Some of ours get a really obviously pink belly as their first sign of shed before their colors dull and their eyes go blue, others barely show any belly sings, just suddenly go blue. We have one young female BP that does her shed cycle so fast that we generally don't notice anything till her eyes are blue and then bingo....she's all shiney and new looking.
