    Hurricane Season Help

    Ok so.. I live in South FL and hurricane season is about to start ..and I'm concerned about what to do about heating my herp tanks during the lack of power and electricity. Any one have experience with this? Any suggestions??

    Im right here with you, and to be honest, it so freakin hot right now i dont think we have anything to worry about. its only to get hotter when the a/c cuts off. But if any of you pro's has an idea that will prolly help.

    i hate huricanes.. my family is just finishing reparing from huricane Ivan (he lost 1/3 of out house practicly) so yah... u rlly dont have to worry about heating but more having a good hot/cool side dif eh so yah

    oh ok.. so as long has i have some what of a warm/cool side.. it wont really matter if its the accurate temps the snake needs?

    During last hurricane season we were without power in S FL for 7 days. I used a $70 power inverter hooked up to my car battery to run the heat for a few hours at a time (mostly at night when it cooled down a little).

    This thread remind's of the last hurricane of 05.Oct 23rd almost winter and bang a hurricane.I'm also from south florida so it's on my mind , especially if it show's up after september when temp's start to go down a little.The power inverter is what I'm going to use if necessary.Hurricane's and traffic are our only weakness's down here.Other than that luv the M.I.A. Go Heat

    I agree.. hurricane's and 95 traffic 5-8pm.. urrgh!!! :cens0r: especially because i work and live downtown!!!!!
    anyway.. i keep her in my office, as you all probably already know, so hopefully the corporate buildings dont lose power for too long this time around. btw.. what was that hurricane's name last year?... the one that came in Oct?.. was it Wilma?!

    oh yea..and HEAT ARE GOING TO THE FINALS BABY!!! OHHH YEA!!!

    Yeah Wilma I remember cause I got my first female 2 day's before landfall.Guess what I named her , you got it Wilma
