New Pics of Rauri the BCI

It's been ages since we've taken new pics for Becky of her male BCI, Rauri, that we are fostering for her. He's slated to fly out late this month or early June to Texas and we'll sure miss the big fella. Unfortunately we don't have anything in the house to weigh him and we forgot to re-measure him last night so we'll have to get him out again tonight for a fun time with the string and the tape measure LOL. We figure he's 6 foot plus and somewhere around 20 lbs give or take.

Rauri to give you a fair idea of his size - about as full length as we can ever get him. Shows off a bit of his nice salmon toned belly. I don't know if Mike is grimacing because Rauri's heavy or because of where Rauri's aiming for LOL.


Just hanging out on the diningroom floor (sorry about the cruddy floor, we just moved in and it badly needs refinishing!)

Closeup of Rauri's face. He's very light phase right now so the light blush pink on his cheeks sort of shows up well in this photo.


Sorry about all the photo's but this big guy is a dream to photograph. Well until he decides to go slither off under the couch and refuse to come back out LOL (no I'm NOT ready for my close-upsssssssssssssssssss )

AwwwuH! Isn't he just gorgeous!? I can't wait to see him in person, I bet his coloring and markings look so much better. He's going to have fun here in Texas, it's nice and warm pretty much year round(woo...LoL). I'm so glad he'll be coming home soon!

What a gorgeous hunka snake! Let's me know what I can look forward to with Hera as she grows (or maybe she'd done????) and Wrigley. I took him out and he's getting quite chunky, and I just realized how much LONGER he is!


I'm soooooo looking forward to the days when I can be like Mike in the pics holding a beautiful, healthy large boa.... *sigh*


Becky, you're suuuuuuuch a lucky new "mom". Rauri is just fantastic looking!!!!
