    Flexwatt/Foil Tape question.

My rack setup is nearing completion and the new guys should be here any day now.

I've had it running for a while using electrical tape to hold on the Flexwatt. Obviously this was not an ideal situation, but I had to hold it on some way for a few days until I had a chance to get some foil tape. Now I have it and I am wondering what is the "proper" way to tape Flexwatt to my tubs. I'm not sure if I should only put the tape on the edges of the Flexwatt, or if I should cover it all in tape. I was thinking that maybe if I cover it all in tape (It's pretty wide tape, I could have plenty of overhang to hold it on and still cover the Flexwatt if I did two strips of tape running longways along it) then it would direct more heat upwards into the tub. If so, that would rock since my system is having trouble getting up to the proper temps without me putting on the heat in my room (which sucks for me.)

    Thanks in advance.

I would just run 2 pieces along the edges of the flexwatt, thats what I do and ive never had a problem with it.

    Re: Flexwatt/Foil Tape question.

I just tape my Flexwatt on two sides also. However, to make it more efficient, I then cover it with Reflectix insulation

that way I'm not heating up the table or whatever the tub/tank is sitting on.
