    moss mold?

ok so here goes another question

I had sphagnum moss in Nag's tank to help with the humidity level...which somehow worked itself out (I dont know if it was an accident or what but I wasnt complaining LOL)

anyway I noticed some bright green stuff on the moss today, assumed it was mold, and immediately removed it. that was earlier today. well, I just now remembered the mold issue and forgot to post it earlier, so here I am now. but anyway, I didnt put fresh moss back in the tank, and it was hours ago, and the humidity level hasnt dropped any. so if I wake up tomorrow and the humidity level is still good, I shouldnt need the moss?

I dont want to make him sick or worse because of my ignorance, but I'm not real sure I even need it anymore. but I wont know for sure till I check him in the morning.

    any thoughts/advice?

    Re: moss mold?

Just monitor the humidity. If it remains at 50-60% without the moss, then you should be fine without it. You just got keep tweaking things until you got it right!!

    Re: moss mold?

well it seems everything is holding well without the moss, so I suppose I dont need it. Plus with summer comming on here its going to spike the general humidity outside, so I may only need it during the dry winter months. I guess we'll see

    thanks
