I figured I would let all of you know....

I figured I would let all of you know that I have decided that graduate school at LA Tech is no longer making me happy, so me and Katie are making arrangements to move back to South Louisiana by the end of June. Because of the unknown housing situation right now and the difficult task of finding a place to live in South LA, we have decided that it would be best if I sold my collection of reptiles before things start to get really crazy with the move....so if you see all my animals up for sale in the next week or so you will know why.

This is definately not the end of me keeping reptiles, so I will still be around on bp.net admiring everyone else's collections and figuring out what kind of collection I would like to have when stuff settles down.

I just thought that I would share.

Bummer about having to sell the collection, man! Hope you're able to get settled into a place soon that you can have your snakey kids back! Have you thought at all about a fostering type situation?

Good luck with the move! Keep us posted!

Thanks Ken. I did think of the fostering situation....but I really don't have any 'reptile friends' nearby to look after things for the next 4-5 months .....and I have no clue how to work out a 'long distance' foster type situation. Let me know if you have any ideas, but even if a foster situation were to work out, I will still be cutting numbers.

I could probably foster one for you if you'd like. I don't know the details either for fostering agreement - but I feel it's the least I can do. Just let me know!

That's a real bummer Daniel. I don't know what I'd do if I had to sell all of mine..

I hope you are able to get settled soon so you can start herping again!

If your website is up to date, it looks like you've got about 12 bp's. I'm sure there's enough people on this site to foster most, if not all. Or maybe a couple could go out on breeding loans if they're old enough.

I could take all the BP's, Daniel. I've got plenty of rack space for a doz...

Re: I figured I would let all of you know....

(Actually I am down to only 6 BPs now since 4 of my other females are on their way to Jamie tomorrow evening)

The beardies are my main concern at the moment, since they take a little more time....and alot more space.

I am still hesitant about getting rid of all my snakes, so I want to 'feel out' the housing situation a little better first.
