    Curious Question

My ball python just shed last week, and when I was holding him yesterday the scales on his belly felt loose. Ive been keeping the humidity at 60 and the temps 90 during the day mid 70s to 80s at night. Is it normal for his scales to be like that. Other than feeling weird his belly looks fine. Any input would be great.

    Re: Curious Question

Sounds normal to me. The main thing to look for on the belly is slight browning of the tips of the wide under-belly scales, which is a symptom of scale rot.

I didn't really understand your statement regarding temps. Try to avoid exposing the snake to any temps less than 80 degrees, even at night, to avoid problems. They're much stronger feeders too, I've noticed, when the ambient temps stay above 80 at all times.
