Those are some CRAZY lookin' fish!!

When I was a kid (teenager), I had gone boating in the lake (Lake Lewisville, for any of you familiar with north Texas ) with some friends. We stopped somewhere out in the middle of the lake and went for a swim. Of course, being the idiot teens that we were, we decided to see if we could dive down deep enough to touch the bottom of the lake. (Who knows how deep it was there, but it's a BIG lake!) To prove we'd made it to the bottom, we had to bring up a handful of mud or muck or whatever.

It took a few tries, and some painful ear pressure, but I believe I finally got to the bottom. Reached for the mud....and grabbed onto a GIANT fish lip!!! I swear, it's a wonder I didn't drown myself right there with the sudden and intense urge to shriek! I came back up faster than was good for me, I'm sure...and never did get credit for reaching the bottom 'cause I didn't have anything to show for it. LOL

To this day, I can still clearly feel the slimey shape of that fish-mouth and seeing those pictures just makes me creeped out anew! LOL They look JUST like what I felt!
