how can i tell if my bp has retained eyecaps

im not shure if my bp has retained eyecaps is there a shurefire way to know?

The eye should like bright and shiney. If you are not sure, I'd just wait until the next shed and check the shed. You should see the eyecaps in the shed. No sense messing with such a delicate thing unless you have to.

I've never seen retained caps on a bp, but my gopher had them a couple times. The eye still looked bright and shiney, but if you looked real close, it had a little raggedy edge around it. And we never had to mess with them, he would rub them off himself within a few days.

Oh wow...that little one looks like she has a retained shower cap! LOL

Yeah that's Dandylion when I first got her. I HAD to take her. The water in her bowl was pink and slightly solid. She's doing much better now. She was a scrawning 165g when I got her, and now she's up to about 1100g in less than a year.
