Have U Seen This???
MSNBC.com has a video article for a new movie that's to be released soon....."Snakes on a Plane".
GREAT!!!!! Just what the hobby DOESN'T NEED!!!!!!! Enough ppl out there have misconceptions and phobias about snakes, and reptiles in general, and now there's going to be a horror movie about being trapped on a plane w/snakes??!??? Oh, and BTW, did I mention they're deliberately doing and putting in gorier scenes in order to get an 'R' rating to get to a bigger audience?????
AAAAAAARGGGGH!!!! Those of us who REALLY care, and want to do right by these creatures don't need THIS type of tripe!!!!!
Okay, I'm done now.
RuLyn
Thx for listening.

Too bad Mystery Science Theater 3000 isn't still on the air. Sounds like a great candidate.
This film isn't produced/directed by Bert I. Gordon is it? I watched the MST3K version of his film "Earth vs the Spider" today.
JASBALLS - hope you don't mind!

Re: Have U Seen This???
I'm not sure who directed it. Maybe someone else can listen to the story and catch that info.
Yeah, MST3K was a HOOT!!! This would probably be a prime candidate for it, if it weren't sooooo scary in that ppl will see it, and then be even MORE freaked over the giant boids, and other snakes.

*edit* I did the reply before seeing T's pic.
OMFG! That is tooooooooooooo funny!!!!!! ROTFLMFAO

Re: Have U Seen This???
I found some info on Fandango.com
http://www.fandango.com/MoviePage.as...ce=moviesearch
Release Date: August 18, 2006
Cast: Samuel L. Jackson, Benjamin McKenzie, Nathan Phillips
Director: David R. Ellis
Genre: Action/Adventure, Horror, Suspense/Thriller
Synopsis: An assassin lets loose a bunch of lethal snakes on board a passenger plane cruising over the Pacific Ocean. He hopes the venomous creatures will kill a witness in protective custody. Meanwhile, the first-time pilot and the scared passengers must join together in order to survive.
This site has a trailer:
http://www.movieweb.com/movies/film/05/3005/summary.php
Looks like a lot of computer animated snakes. One I thought was a milk snake, but it was red/white/black/white/red 000000000000000000000000
Milk snakes seem to be red/black/white/black/red. Is the red/white/black/white/red a phony coloration for snakes?
Anyhow, the snakes were moving waaaay too fast for being on a plane wich probably has a cabin temperature around 70 degrees.
And I also found this while searching for "Snakes on a Plane". A bunch of spoof trailers for "Snakes on a Plane"

Re: Have U Seen This???
I know and I agree, this DOES NOT help!!!!! I have had a lot problems with people and their unreasonable ideas and what they think is the truth, since I started keeping tarantulas last year. The basics of it is fear. They are uneducated and if you fear something, you make it the villian, then your fear is justified. All we can do is continue to educate those around us. In the course of the last year I have turned a handful of friends completely around concerning spiders. One of my friends even owns one now!!!!!! I plan on doing the same thing with my BP. Go slow, show pictures, talk about it, and prove that those silly movies are wrong. Do you remember a really bad sci/fi horror movie that came out in the late 70's and was titled, "Sssssssssss"? It is the stupidest thing I've ever seen, but it started my sister on a life time of fearing snakes. If one stupid movie can change peoples minds, we can change them back with facts.
