    PVC Cages

I was just wondering if anyone knew how the PVC cages(Boaphile or Animal Plastics) are built? Are they welded or glued?
    Thanks

Animal Plastics get screwed together. Boaphile describes theirs as glued/welded. So I'm not positive with them.

Some glue, some weld, some screw.....alot depends on what company you go with and what option you want. I know some PVC rack companies give you the option of weld or screwed for shipping reasons. Check out their websites and you can find out all the details.

    Re: PVC Cages

I was wondering because I would like to try and build one myself. I can get a sheet of PVC for about $50-$60 and could get the glue or welder cheaper than I could buy one.

    Re: PVC Cages

with the plastic welder you need an air compresser and they have a glue that works great for the pvc form board. i bought one of jason jungles racks and a nature spirt rack and i built a rack thats about the same as jason's rack

    Re: PVC Cages

Did you weld or glue the rack together? If your welded was it easy? I have basic knowledge of how to weld metal. If you glued it, how strong are the corner joints?

    Thanks for the information
