Question Where exactly to measure temp?

My bp has dug out a little hollow in the reptibark under his warm hide, so when he's in there he's basically just sitting on the bare wood surface of the base of the cage, under which there is a uth on a thermostat.

Am I right to assume that it's this wood surface that should be at 92-94? If the temp probe is on the reptibark above, then the temp reads maybe 5 degrees or more lower than if it's directly on the wood surface.

Just want to make sure that if he's going to sit directly on the wood surface, then that surface should be at 92-94. Thanks!

yes, the surface he is touching should be no higher than 95 to avoid burns.

Thanks Brad. I've just noticed - we both joined bp.net on the very same day, and we have the same number of posts! How weird is that?!
