feces!
rex just had his first bm since he's been in my care and ive been frantically searching for what it should look like online and cam up empty handed. Ive had a lot of reptiles in my day and rex is my first snake, his feces looked dark brown and hairy. His urates are pretty dry and chalky. I was just making sure this was normal, so please let me know what you think.

Re: feces!
Sounds normal to me. And quite the normal behavior for a BP-enthusiast to get so excited about poop! (We see that a lot around here! )

Re: feces!
Now I know I'm in the right place, only one of us BP lovers would search the world wide web for snake poop. As far as the BM goes sounds very normal, it's when the snake asks for a magazine and hogs the toilet all morning you start to worry!! LOL

Re: feces!
I always think our BP's poop likes pretty close to what a cat would pass basically. Not really "hairy" as they generally digest everything from their mouse or rat. Sometimes that "hair" can be the start of mold as the warm temp/higher humidity of a BP enclosure is a perfect breeding ground for very fast mold growth.
Our whole family is losing it's collective mind LOL. Yesterday our youngest BP, a male of just over 9 months, dropped a huge BM. Pretty bad when the whole family wants to view said prize winning poop before I can clean the dang thing up! Wierd...we are all just wierd!

LOL! Go Malachi!!!
I was checking on Pandora earlier this week and opened the lid and was bowled over by the smell. First reaction was "Whoa!!!!" Second reaction was "Hey Pandora - VERY nice job you did there!"
Now if I can just get her to quit dumping her water bowl over during her nightly exploring we'll get along just fine. LOL
