I caught Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom on Animal Planet this weekend. The episode was "King Cobra and I." It was an awesome show with lots of good information. Not cheesy or overly-produced, either, like some of those shows can be - just good, interesting, straightforward information.

Here's the description:
The show starts with Whittaker rescuing a king cobra. He takes it to his reserve, probes it (finds it is female), removes retained eyecaps, breeds her to a male on the reserve, and then watches the babies hatch. Amazing!!! Did you know baby king cobras right out of the egg can spread their hoods and carry enough venom to potentially kill a man?American herpetologist Romulus Whittaker launches a personal quest to protect the largest venomous snake known to man: the King cobra.
Don't miss this show if you can help it. It airs again on Saturday and Sunday.
