    Question Proving A Morph

I have a Axanthic femal ball python, at least I think it is. But she is not proven. How do you get a snake proven? She will be ready to breed next season and I have a normal male I would like to bread her to. I will post pics of her later on tonight.
    Thanks
    Trey

    Re: Proving A Morph

A good way to prove out a morph would be to breed her to a normal male, keep all the male babies, and breed her back to all the male siblings. This will prove out a normal recessive trait.

    Re: Proving A Morph

The only way to prove a morph is to get it to reproduce itself. If it is a dominant trait, this may be done with the first clutch of eggs. If it is a recessive trait, then it may take a couple of generations to prove out.
