    BP's Won't hide in Rack

My ball pythons are housed in a nature's spirit rack and everytime I check on them their hides are pushed away and they are just laying on the hot side of the tank probably because it is dark in there. Should I just remove the hides or move them to the cool side?

    thanks,
    Rusty

p.s. I got a job in a snake shop today, I'm really excited!

What are your temps inside the hides? Sometimes heat can build up inside the hides and hence they shun using them.

Racks are super cozy. Some mine don't even bother with the hides.

thats what I was thinking, I'll keep them close to the heat as an option but allowing enough space for them to not use them if they don't want to. Also the hides are pretty lightweight so it could be that they just move it mistakenly.

Re: BP's Won't hide in Rack

I'd leave the hides in there. A couple of my balls will use the hides in the rack only if they're in shed....and then I have Issa, who never uses his. I leave his hide in there, since he often "basks" on it instead.
