    her first shed with me!

i swear i'm worse than a new parent! i got fatima almost a month ago and her eyes just started getting milky. i was wondering why she wasn't really interested in eating the past couple of days. just a quick question, about how long now until she starts shedding? i'm really paranoid and want her to have a good shed. everytime i'm home i make sure to check her humidity and keep it above 70 and i got a stick for her just in case she needs a lil somethin to rub against. i'm excited and nervous all at the same time!

average is about 4 to 7 days after she clears up. Just keep an eye out for her, sounds like you are all over it. LOL

Re: her first shed with me!

Almost all of my bps shed in their hides. From the time they turn blue until they actually shed is about 7-10 days. I usually see a shed about 48 hours after their eyes clear up. Don't worry about missing it.

As for feeding, I wouldn't worry about it. It's not unusual for some to turn down food while in shed. Just offer food once a week. If you offer too frequently, you will end up with a stressed snake, and more refusals.
