    Re: Buisness names? ideas?

    Nice name, I like it.

Dreamweaver is the most popular application to create websites. However it's made by Macromedia which has just been bought by Adobe. Adobe have thier own excellent website application called GoLive. With Adobes track record if you are going to buy and learn an application now I have to strongly suggest GoLive.

I generally host my own websites on my own broadband connection. All you need is a cheap computer, webservers do not need to be anything fancy. Install Linux or windows - run Apache, set up a firewall - tada... webserver.

This works well for low to medium traffic sites and all the software for the webserver is free (apart from Windows). If you have a good stable internet connection it really is my preference. And will save you in hosting fees in the long term, plus you can make instant updates and so on without having to mess about with someone elses file system and uploading

    Re: Buisness names? ideas?

    Andre,
I registered my domain name through Yahoo (it was 2.99 for a year, I think) and I get my hosting plan through Clay English (he runs his own herp forum, and many people who have herp websites get hosting through him). I'm getting Clay's highest plan for only 9.99 a month, and he's great about getting with you if you have any problems or whatever. If you want to check his stuff out, pm me.

I've been using FrontPage, and get along with it fairly well. There are things that you can do better with Dreamweaver, though (check out my web page for an idea of what you can do with FrontPage).

    Hope this helps a bit!

This is a good site for information on how to set up a home web server. It's explained better here than I could do.

I get my hosting from TekWarren (a user on this site) for SUPER cheap... (a better deal than Clay's) Shoot him a PM, I'm sure he'll hook ya up.

    I plan on using Dreamweaver...

I like your new biz name... catchy!

    Re: Buisness names? ideas?

Andre, I realize you have great aspirations to have a business.. but I think you should know, because you are a minor, you cannot legally enter into a binding contract with anyone.... meaning, you technically cant sell. Unless your parent/parents are willing to do this for you, it may not be a good thing to start a business at what 13 or 14? Since it is Shelby that seems to help you out with these things (including the decision to buy species that will get HUGE- not good at your age) did she not tell you the legalities part of business?

    Re: Buisness names? ideas?

Yes I understand that my mom would have to be the person to do my transactions. I am 14. Also shelby did let me know about the YELLOW annaconda that does stay smaller wich is what I was looking at and a male wich stays 6-8 feet but I would most likely have at least a years experience with an RTB. I wont be getting it for more than a year so like the summer of 2007. Abd no she didnt tell me about the ;egalities part of buisness. at least from what i remember.
