Just when I was sure we'd never see Gomez again (not only does he love that skull, but good luck coaxing him out of it! The boy is strong and stubborn!) HE SHED! Finally! He also took a big ol poop, which is good too! So he's out and about again with a shiny new skin! And if you think I didn't take a bunch of pics, you clearly don't know me very well. Boy does he shine! I can kind of understand how people think snakes are slimy, because of how they catch the light.

We found his shed in one of his clay hides, all rolled up like a tiny sock. Karen very carefully rolled it out so we could check it out. The tail part broke off after we handled it, but still a perfect shed! I wish I'd gotten a pick of it all rolled up, that was too cute.

"Gimme a few hours, Mom, not ready to come out yet!"

Here it is! His first shed with us.

And Gomez himself, all dressed up in his new suit, next to the ruler as well! With his tail all cozied up to Karen's foot, lol.

Here's Gomez on my arm, with his slightly rearranged cage in the background. I was worried about him getting overheated on the hot side, so I put his beloved skull smack dab in the middle. Looks like a He-Man playset, doesn't it? Very Skeletor!

And here he is resetting my watch.

Oooh, perspective!

And this one is my fave... Awwwh...

Poor baby. I bet he's sick of that flashy thing. I'm so proud of him though! And of myself! His first shed felt like a test for me. I didn't want him to have it all stuck like the bps at the pet store. A perfect shed like that makes me feel SO good. Eyecaps and all. Just when I was starting to worry, he goes and proves what a healthy boy he is. He ate like a champ on Friday too. I bet that helped! /(^v^)\ Snatched it right out of the wooden tongs! I now call them the snake chopsticks.

In other words... I am one happy camper right now!
