Dou you have the enclosure directly on the heat pad?
If so try using blocks/rails of wood to elevate it off the pad slightly. I've done this with several setups including the big reptile-tub rig the AfRock is in.

I do have it set directly on there. I had the tub elevated about a 1/2 inch anyway, maybe I'll try elevating a little more. Thanks
Is it possible though to use the 3' tape and t-stat with both the BP and corn. I know they are different species, but would the temps at 83-84 be OK for the corns' hot side as well as the BP's cool side? dun know just wonderiong.

Re: Help with cool side...ideas???
Most people will probably tell you that everything plugged into your t-stat needs to be identical, but I do something a little different. I have two different UTH's plugged into the same t-stat, and have one of them on a dimmer to achieve the perfect cool side temps...it is consistent, and produces great results. As long as you can provide correct consistent temps for your snakes, I don't see the problem.
