    mothers

Just need to blow some steam...

So, Rick and I are engaged, right? Today she sent me 4 HUGE BOXES of either my grandmother's China or her grandmother's China (that's dishes, boys, in case "China" in reference to "grandmother's China" sounds funny) - I can't remember which because I haven't seen it in forever...

Where the heck am I gonna put this?! She knows we live in a cramped apartment....I'm just like...wow....thanks.../sigh...

    Re: mothers

LOL.....sounds like something my Mom would do. OR...she would just throw out the precious China because she didn't think I had enough space for it and she was tired of storing it. Moms can be so goofy!

~I~ however, will never be that way to ~my~ children. Nope. Never! .........right?

    Re: mothers

I know it may seem like a terrible inconvience (with so little space to spare), but she is handing down a family heirloom which I'm sure she is doing with good intentions. Maybe approach her and tell her you love it, but could she keep it until you are better equiped to handle it. *shrug*

Think big people. Put it in storage, and when she comes to visit and asks where it is tell her. Then she will get you a new china cabinet.

Even bigger, Lars. The china cabinet won't fit in the cramped apartment, so they're going to need a house - with a formal dining room, of course.
