    Receiving Shipped Reptiles

I am getting a new crested gecko this week. I have ordered fish online and I know how to acclimate them, but I haven't got any reptiles online ever. Is there anything special you have to do when you get the animal. My parents may have to receive the shipment since I'm at school till 1. Could I tell them to bring the gecko to my room and take off the styrofoam box lid and leave it.

i would just have them leave it in the box as is until you get home. once you get there just unpack him and put him in his enclosure. mist extra and/or provide a water dish to make sure he is hydrated and just let him settle in for several days.

I've told my parents to unpack him and put the cup in the cage, and when I get home I will take him out.
