    Picture Request

I wasnt sure if this should be in this section or where but... I would like to see some pictures of everyones glass terrarium setups. Seems like most of the pictures I have seen online are the tubs/racks and I would like to get some ideas.

I dont have a BP and im just a New-be with this snake stuff... Most places locally dont have any young snakes this time of year they said.... Maybe after winter I will pick one up.

    thanks

    Re: Picture Request

Well, here are two of my 5 setups, we actually its one setup that was used at one time for Roxy my bp, but she was moved to a bigger tank to accomodate Rosie my new redtail boa, so basicly, its the same tank, differnt snake and substrate, decor, you get the idea. My setups pretty much all consist of the same thing and are all pretty simple and boring. They all look somewhat like this : two hides one on each side a waterbowl in the center that also doubles as a hide and a branch to climb on. Pegboard lids and heating pads as a heatsource.

In the picture with the boa, there are a few things missing, like the other black hide thats suposed to go on the other side under the branch and the decorative plants that i now have wrapped around the climbing branch, ohh yeah and the thermometer is not in the picture either, i was cleaning and snapped a picture while i was putting everything back in.

That is a 30 gallon tank, i had it up on the wall with some velcro but i usually just set it on the floor in one corner of the cage, run the cord to the probe out of the cage and then back in on the other side to measure the warm side heat.

Try to look at some of the breeders. I know a few people usually have a few available. You can probably get a quality "normal" BP if you look around. Pet stores are sometimes a bad choice for snakes. You don't know where the snake came from or anything about it. There are several breeders in this forum. Sometimes an older snake might be the way to go too. If you get one from a reputable breeder, they should know the snakes personality and probabibly have it on a feeding schedule.

    Re: Picture Request

Here's my corn's 20L tank It actually looks a little different now, because we added a dark blue backdrop and the sphinx/oracle is facing a different direction, but that's it more or less. I still want to get a little Naga Kanya statue for the back too, now that the sphinx is moved, but it's not important so I'm waiting on a birthday or something for that.
