Desperately seeking tank for BP in CT!!!!

Yep, I made the ridiculous mistake of keeping 2 balls in one 55 gallon... for FIVE YEARS! Now I really need a new setup.........
40 breeder would be perfect, but anything around there should be okay. I'm sure he won't care since he'll have his own territory!

If you have something, or can think of anyone who does in CT, SW Mass, or SE NY, Let me know ASAP!!

Thank you all, you're so kind...
    Ginger

Just go to walmart and get a nice big rubbermaid/sterilite tub for him! Super cheap.

If you really want a tank, you don't need anything bigger than a 30 gallon, trust me!

How do you light something like that without melting it??

Really? 30 gallons for a 4 1/2 foot snake?? Do you think the 55 is too big for one then?

Re: Desperately seeking tank for BP in CT!!!!

I have 21 snakes and no lights. Lights actually remove too much humidity. Under tank heaters are much better in my opinion. If you wish to use a light, you can cut out a square in the lid of the bin, and fasten some wire mesh in the opening.

30 gallons is PLENTY for a 4 1/2' snake. It is fine for a snake up to around 5.5'. 55 gallons is on the big side.. a shy snake may not eat when in such a large enclosure.

Ya, I noticed the light has been giving me super humidity problems, but to heat such a big tank, I needed the light on one side as well as a under tank heater on the other side.
I think now that I know I need to seperate the 2, I will be putting them both in a smaller tank.

Smaller tank= less stress on snake, and less stress on me! (55 gallon is a sucker to move by yourself)

Thanks, AGAIN! You guys are truely the best~ Ginger
