Re: Today's feeding pics
Thanx, I really put a lot of effort into selecting a good rat. I figgure why not pick asthetically pleasing rodents in addition to high quality ones...

Re: Today's feeding pics
Nice pictures i have a couple mice in the freezer that look just like that one for my boa and corn snake.
Only one thing.....i wouldent feed him on the aspen bedding,it can get caught it in the mouses fur and be ingested by the snake.not good. You can lay some newspaper down on top of it and then offer him food but i can see that you are feeding live rodents so that may not work well, in your case you might wanna move him to a separate empty enclousure for feeding so its safe for him

Re: Today's feeding pics
I feed on aspen all the time. Snakes digest bone, so I doubt a little tree fiber will prove much of a challenge. I've not had any problems with it, and as long as the rodent is dry (sometimes an issue with f/t) the aspen shouldn't really stick anyway.

Re: Today's feeding pics
True, and im sure that alot of breeders who use aspen feed on it as well but i guess im just a paranoid freak who always thinks "better off safe than sorry" so thats why i dont feed on it.

Re: Today's feeding pics
I agree that it doesn't hurt to lay down a piece of newspaper before feeding, but I usually don't. (I can barely get the stupid rat in the enclosure before it's gone. Heck, half the time they're hanging out of their tubs! LOL! There's no way I'm sticking my hand in there to lay down a piece of newspaper! )
