Ten weeks since last shed [emoji102]

Hi so my two year old male/female last shed ten weeks ago nice clean full shed now showings signs of shedding again pink belly skin wrinkled near head but not in blue yet
I’m just wondering has this happened with anyone else’s bp?

There is no set schedule on which they shed and the intervals will change over the course of their lives.

Ah ok Thankyou I was worrying that something might be wrong I’m visually checking them every couple of days but apart from the normal cleaning leaving them alone

I can't think anything bad of which not shedding would be a symptom. Too much shedding is a symptom, but not not shedding.

The time it takes for a snake to shed from one shed to the next is irrelevant- snakes, like humans & other animals, can have growth spurts. Their diet & climate can also vary, which impacts their growth rate.

Sheds that occur too rapidly may actually signal that your snake has an injury/illness from which it's trying to heal/recover, since snakes do not simply grow new cells at just the site of the injury- their whole body is involved in the "make-over".

In general, younger snakes shed more frequently than older ones because they're growing faster, but all snakes shed (grow) their whole lives. I've personally kept some pretty old snakes that took a year to a year & a half between sheds.

Bluebell_1990- don't lose sleep over this- snakes shed when they need to, & not before.

Thankyou aslong I know it’s nothing to worry about that’s fine they can take as long as they need I’m sure they will soon the skin is now cracked abit on their neck so I’m sure itl be any day now
