50th birthday vacation

Well for my 50th birthday celebrations , I've come to the lovely Costa Rica.
After a gruiling 11.5hr flight and 2hrs thru passport controlmy wife and I arrived at Guinacaste Costa rica.
There is a minus 7hr time difference between UK and Costa rica.
After supper a quick drink and once round the resort to get our bearings we went to bed kinda early to try get our body clocks used to the time difference. we really didn't take much rocking to nod off.
At 5.30am we was woken up by the strangest of sounds, we was on 4th floor level with the jungle canopy, amazing view and there in front of our balcony was a group of around 7 howler monkeys. Mind blowing.
It's also strange see the iguana walking round the pool, they freak the kids out when they swim the pool

For my birthday on the 7th we took a trip to the rainforest 2hrs away, what an amazing experience
Got to see red eyed tree frogs and strawberry dart frogs, the heliconia flowers was also amazing

My first ever wild snake I've seen, only taken 50 yrs, the 30 boas I own at home don't count
An amazing pit viper/eyelash viper , we had almost finished the walk with the guide when I spotted it at the base of an amazing tree
An hour later we came across a boa in the trees, it was a bit high to get some decent pics I'm afraid
