Hiiii, so I have a 6 month old 250g ball that I just moved from a 15gal tank to a 30gal tank because he couldn't stretch out in the old one. I moved him in 3 days ago and the last time I handled him was when I was taking stuff from his old tank and putting it in his new tank. He's been very active at night which led me to believe that he felt comfortable and wasn't stressed. Today I tried to handle him and he was tightly wound in his hide and when I stroked his side (as I do to let him know I'm there) he hissed twice at me. For reference, I have covered the back and sides of the tank, he has 3-4 hides, and his temps stay pretty steadily at 88-90 on the hot side.

Is it normal for balls to turn down handling when moved to a new environment? He is such a sweet boy and is usually really good with being handled and seems to actually quite enjoy it.

I just want some clarity!
