    Mites? Springtails?

Hey all! Hoping to get some peace of mind here lol

This morning I was switching my little buddy's water dish and there were very small white arthropods of some sort in there. I searched around his tank and they are only by the water dish or close by. When touching them in the water they very quickly move back.

His overall health condition is still good and he has not missed a single feeding since I have had him (for reference he ate 2 days ago).

From my research it does not look or sound like snake mites but are either wood mites or springtails that according to most sources are harmless. I'm switching out his substrate tomorrow is there anything I should be extra careful of to prevent them from transferring into my home or making sure the populations do not become harmful?

    Thanks!!

I've never had springtails but I agree, this doesn't sound like snake mites to me.
