If your WalMart is out of the Acu-Rite's (ask them to check tho, sometimes they are hard to find) I know that Lowe's and Home Depot sell an almost identical unit for about the same price though under a different brand name. If you need it I think I have a picture of an Acu-Rite that Bryce posted if you don't know what they look like exactly.

Make sure you look in the hardware section at Wal-Mart. It's not anywhere CLOSE to the pet section. Just look where the electrical isle is... it's right near that at my local Wal-Mart. Ask someone where the indoor/outdoor thermometers are... you'll find 'em.

Or you may need to check another Wal-Mart. They just opened a new Super WalMart by me, and that's the first thing I looked for. They had everything else, but not the Acu-Rite (well, they had Acu-Rite, but it was a 2 or 3 piece unit, pretty bulky). I'm going to go back to the original Wal-Mart I purchased from to pick up some more.

You can also find the Acc-Rites on Ebay. As such...

Hehe, they are selling them at both of my nearby WalMarts for $11 a pop. I have... let's see... 5 of them? Two without hygrometers though, but what the hay.

Just search around a bit at Wally World, you'll fine them. More than likely they are in the indoor/outdoor thermometer section. I tend to not trust anything from the pet store, except maybe crickets(but then those from Petco are a little dicey, bleh).

    Re: walmart thermometer/hygrometer

The walmart im referring to is a newly opened super walmart. Maybe they dont have it there. I'll look around near the pain section and around harware a little more. If they dont have it then i guess its a 20 minute ride out to the other walmart to try my luck. THanks for the help everyone!

    Re: walmart thermometer/hygrometer

If you can acutally find someone that works there, ask them to take you to the outdoor thermometer section. It's usually in the paint/hardware section. Good luck.
