Re: feeder mice
Hehe, well, offered straight to the snake, they last, oh, about 5 minutes.
If you keep them in a tank with a water bottle with fresh water, bedding(aspen, carefresh) and a good lab block style food, they will live about 2 years. They breed quite easily if that is what you were looking to do.
Hope that answered your question a bit

Re: feeder mice
As long as the mice are fully weaned from the mother mouse and you feed and water them properly they'll usually do fine. Put in a few empty toilet paper rolls and a bit of bedding. Whatever you keep them in though make sure it's escape proof and decently ventilated as mice tend to be pretty stinky compared to rats.
I actually like bringing home live prey a few days in advance if I can to feed and water them well as in the big feeder tanks at the pet store they have to compete for what little they can get.

Re: feeder mice
I buy two at a time (Kashmire will only eat one a week) and then keep them in a Kritter Keeper with Aspen, some food and a tiny bowl with water that I have to clean daily. Usually only one mouse lives there at a time (the second normally is offered later the same day I buy them to Kashmire- Saturdays). I do it for convenience, but it's definitely a smelly animal, even with just one.
