    Shedding question

My ball python has always shed inside his hide, he never leaves to go rub his skin off as you would normally see in snakes. He always sheds in one piece just don't know if it's normal for him to do it in his cave.

Mine has always shed like that....underneath his favorite hide. Yes it is fine. Just make sure during shed of course, humidity is bumped up

That's a relief, I couldn't find an answer anywhere on Google. Thanks you!

LOL, it's normal for some snakes, & unusual for others. Snakes have their own preferences apparently. BPs are less active & more apt to stay hidden than some other
kinds of snakes, so it makes sense this might be their choice- to undress in private.

If the hide has some tack or roughness to it they will use it to remove the shed. Nothing at all wrong with this.
