    Heating problems

This is so frustrating. I can't get the ambiant temp up high enough with the UTH, not even with two (one under one stuck to the side). I can't turn it up any higher because the probe on top of the floor one says 92. The air temp right now is at 76.5. I guess I'll have to get a lamp or something to use at night to get the temp up, the humidity is high too (I'm in FL after all) it's sticking around 80%, so if I get the light it might help with that too. What do you all think of that with a plastic rubbermaid tote? I'm thinking if I don't put it like directly on top of it it should be safe (as in not melting anything or causing fumes or something) and still be able to raise the air temp in the tote. I'm getting a thermostat in a few days, but it still won't help me with the UTH not being able to heat the air well enough without causing localized over heating.
    Ideas? Suggestions?

    Re: Heating problems

Well, you could get a space heater.. that's what I did. Some cut a window in the top of the rubbermaid and drill holes around it.. they put screen mesh over the window and use zip ties through the drill holes to secure it.. set the lamp on that.
