    Question humidity question..

What is a good way to lower humidity levels. Also, what is a good setup for the probe on the acu-rite thermometer/hygrometer. I currently only have 1 acu-rite. The probe is sitting on the cool side, while the base is on the warm side..attached to the side of the aquarium. I also have a small digital thermometer/hygrometer sitting on the warm side of the tank. Any suggestions would help. Thanks everyone.

    Re: humidity question..

Do you have the screen covered with anything? What are the humidity readings in the tank and then outside the tank in the room it's kept in?

THings you could try would include moving the water bowl to the cool side; exposing more of the screen lid to open air; use a dehumidifier if the room itself is extremely damp (or maybe just move it).

    Re: humidity question..

I figured out how to control the humidity, but now a cold front came in, and my temperatures are lower than they normally are...any ideas? I already have my heat pad up quite high and I don't want to turn it up anymore...the warm side is only at around 85, and my cool side is quite low at 73.. I have some lamps up now, but the temps don't seem to change...Should I invest in ceramic heater bulb? Thanks.
